Bio

Maicon Clenk is an illusionist and choreographic director with an established career creating original shows. He is the author of the artistic language “Illusionist Theatre,” and his works have been seen live by more than 20 million people.

 

Born in Curitiba, Brazil, and of Polish and Italian descent, Clenk has been passionate about the circus since age four and has dedicated his life to the arts. He has multidisciplinary training as an actor, dancer, acrobat, magician, and advertising professional, and has studied with renowned artists in Brazil, New York, London, Paris, Japan, Italy, Spain, and Berlin, including the Pilobolus company and Familie Flöz. He has performed in more than thirty productions. He served as artistic director of Beto Carrero World. In a 20-year professional career, he has directed more than 5,000 artists of different nationalities. In the corporate sphere he created large-scale shows for multinational brand events. In audiovisual media he appeared among the world’s leading illusionists in the TV series “Masters of Illusion” and was featured for years on major Brazilian television programs such as Faustão, Tudo É Possível, and Eliana with several segments. He is recognized by the national press and among his numerous theatrical awards and records are the Gralha Azul Trophy for Best Show and Best Actor, the ABRASCE Trophy for Best Event in Brazil, and the Picadeiro Trophy for illusionism. Among his main Illusionist Theatre productions are O Grande Show de Mágica, Polaris, Tanka, Banquete, and VIK, which ran successful seasons in some of Brazil’s largest and most prestigious theaters and important festivals.
